Looking forward to having creative people in the space! I am subletting my portion of the apartment so I can attend an artist residency.

Spacious bedroom with workspace near Barclays Center

Private Room

About My Space

Large bedroom with workspace and plenty of light in brownstone 3 blocks from major transportation hub: D, B, N, Q, R, 4, 5, 2, 3 trains and the LIRR. (or a 10 min walk to G, A, C trains)

The apartment is located on a residential block, so you just have to walk one avenue over for amazing restaurants, bars, galleries, ice cream, vintage shops, coffee, and bakeries. Or walk 10 minutes to Fort Green Park or Prospect Park. There is an incredible farmer's market at Prospect Park on weekends! Invisible Dog Theater is also within walking distance, and they have great music + art events.

The apartment space is enormous - a sunny live/work, and three private rooms are all to yourself: A cozy bedroom with queen sized bed; an adjoining office space with a work desk and a little daybed by the window, perfect for reading in the sunlight! In addition, and your own studio with a work desk. The photos show the studio in use, with all of my gear out to give you a sense of scale. My art supplies will be stored in a corner to give you maximum room to work.

You'll share a bathroom, eat-in dining room, and large kitchen with one quiet single female roommate who rarely cooks and is hardly ever home. For her comfort, I am looking for a respectful female roommate who is quiet in the evening hours (she has to wake up early for work M-F).

There is a window AC unit in case it gets too warm. This is usually a quiet residential street, however, you will hear garbage trucks some mornings. Sometimes on summer weekends neighbors down the block will play music outside, which is pretty common in Brooklyn. They are mindful to turn the music way off around bedtime since this is a family block and many people have young children. But if you are very noise sensitive, this may not be for you.

About Myself

Artist working in social practice and time based-media, I work part time as a freelance photographer & videographer and adjunct professor. I usually travel for a project or residency a couple times per year.
